- There is a lot of one on one learning and discussion

 

- The path what is learned isn't set in stone and it is directed by my individual abilities and goals

 

- I can design my own pieces instead of like in most schools the teacher passes out an assignment paper and everyone makes the same thing and is graded accordingly.

 

- a big benefit to learn first hand how a jewellery shop runs and can run.

Mimaya: "Before deciding to attend VMAS, I looked into many different schools for studying Jewellery Design.

Some of them where much bigger in organization, but I was not convinced by their programs and environment.

I am very happy that I made the decision to study goldsmithing and Jewellery Design with Gerold because of his creative and also traditional Jewellery making background. It is a real positive opportunity to be able to learn European jewellery making under Gerold, and there is not even one time I regret making my decision to attend VMAS.

The school environment is positive, friendly, and because every student brings unique styles and design to their works, it is very inspiring and motivating. "
